These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ThePaperLayer, including our website, web application, creative tools, Motion Lab, templates, animation features, project files, export tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using ThePaperLayer, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. THEPAPERLAYER

ThePaperLayer is a browser-based creative platform that helps users create paper-style animations, motion graphics, visual compositions, and other creative content.

The Service may include:

• Paper animation tools
• Motion Lab templates
• Text and typography tools
• Paper and cutout effects
• Animation controls
• Timeline editing
• Preview tools
• Export functionality
• Editable .tplayer project files
• Project import and download functionality
• Other creative features introduced in the future

Features may change, be updated, suspended, or discontinued as the Service evolves.

2. ELIGIBILITY

You may use ThePaperLayer only if you are legally permitted to do so under the laws applicable to you.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should use the Service with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of ThePaperLayer complies with applicable laws.

3. USING THEPAPERLAYER

ThePaperLayer may allow you to use many creative features without creating an account.

Certain functionality, including export functionality, may require authentication.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

4. ACCOUNTS AND GOOGLE SIGN-IN

Where authentication is required, ThePaperLayer may provide Google Sign-In.

Google authentication is handled through Google's authentication infrastructure.

You are responsible for maintaining control of your account and for activity performed through your account.

ThePaperLayer does not ask for or store your Google password.

5. YOUR CONTENT

"Your Content" means text, images, graphics, audio, video, project data, animation configurations, .tplayer files, and other materials that you create, upload, import, or use through ThePaperLayer.

You retain ownership of your original content.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and consents required to use content that you upload or incorporate into your projects.

6. YOUR LICENSE TO USE THEPAPERLAYER

Subject to these Terms, we provide you with a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use ThePaperLayer for its intended purpose.

You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, resell, reverse engineer, modify, or commercially exploit ThePaperLayer's proprietary software, interface, templates, or underlying technology except where expressly permitted.

7. CONTENT PROCESSING

We may process your content when reasonably necessary to provide functionality that you request, including rendering, previewing, processing, exporting, saving, or importing projects.

We do not obtain ownership of your original creative content merely because you use ThePaperLayer.

8. LOCAL PROJECTS AND .TPLAYER FILES

ThePaperLayer may store editable project data locally in your browser using technologies such as IndexedDB.

ThePaperLayer may also allow you to download projects in the .tplayer format.

A .tplayer file is an editable ThePaperLayer project file and is not an exported video.

You are responsible for keeping backup copies of important project files.

Local browser storage may be affected by browser settings, device changes, storage limitations, clearing browser data, or other technical circumstances.

We do not guarantee permanent preservation of projects stored only in your browser.

9. TEMPLATES AND CREATIVE RESOURCES

ThePaperLayer may provide templates, compositions, animations, paper elements, typography systems, and other creative resources.

These resources remain part of ThePaperLayer unless otherwise stated.

Using a template to create your own project does not transfer ownership of the underlying template, software, or proprietary design system to you.

10. PROHIBITED USE

You must not use ThePaperLayer to:

• Violate applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights
• Upload content you do not have permission to use
• Create fraudulent or deceptive content
• Impersonate another person without authorization
• Distribute malware or malicious code
• Attempt unauthorized access to the Service or another user's account
• Circumvent security or technical restrictions
• Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service
• Facilitate unlawful activity
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract proprietary systems or source code

We may restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe the Service has been misused or these Terms have been violated.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

ThePaperLayer's software, website, interface, branding, logos, templates, documentation, visual systems, and underlying technology are owned by or licensed to the operators of ThePaperLayer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of ThePaperLayer's intellectual property to you.

12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

ThePaperLayer may rely on third-party services and infrastructure, including authentication, hosting, storage, security, analytics, communication, and other technology providers.

Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for independent services operated by third parties.

13. SERVICE AVAILABILITY

We work to keep ThePaperLayer available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available on every device or browser.

We may perform maintenance, updates, improvements, or changes that temporarily affect availability.

14. EXPORTS

ThePaperLayer provides tools for creating and exporting creative content.

You are responsible for reviewing exported content before publishing, distributing, or commercially using it.

We do not guarantee that every export will meet the technical or creative requirements of every external platform or use case.

15. FEEDBACK

If you provide suggestions, ideas, feedback, or recommendations about ThePaperLayer, you agree that we may use that feedback to improve the Service without an obligation to compensate you.

You may stop using ThePaperLayer at any time.

Termination does not automatically delete .tplayer files already downloaded to your device.

20. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms as ThePaperLayer evolves.

Material changes may be communicated through the Service or website where appropriate.

The updated Terms will become effective on the date indicated at the beginning of the revised Terms.

21. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of India, subject to mandatory rights and protections applicable to you under local law.
