2. ACCOUNT INFORMATION
When you sign in using Google, we may receive basic account information such as:

- Profile photo
- Firebase user identifier
- Authentication provider information
We do not receive or store your Google password.
3. MARKETING CONSENT
Marketing communications are optional.
If you explicitly choose to receive ThePaperLayer communications, we may store:
- Marketing consent status
- Date and time of consent
Example: "I'd like to receive ThePaperLayer updates, new templates and creator tips."
Authentication does not automatically mean that you have consented to marketing communications.
4. CREATIVE PROJECT INFORMATION
Projects created using ThePaperLayer may contain:

- Animation settings
- Timeline information
- Typography
- Paper effects
- Project configuration

For our current version of the Service, full editable project state is primarily stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB.
We do not use Firestore as the cloud database for your complete creative projects.
5. .TPLAYER FILES
ThePaperLayer allows users to download and import editable .tplayer project files.
A .tplayer file may contain:
- Project settings
- Layer information
- Text
- Animation configuration
- Timeline information
- Images or other project assets required to reconstruct the project
Once downloaded, a .tplayer file is stored and controlled by you.
You should protect project files that contain confidential or sensitive information.

7. FIREBASE AND GOOGLE
ThePaperLayer uses Firebase Authentication for Google Sign-In and may use Firebase Cloud Firestore for basic account information.
Through Google Sign-In, we may receive information made available by your Google account and the authentication process.
Google and Firebase may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
8. FIRESTORE
For authenticated users, we may store basic account information in a Firestore document associated with the user's Firebase identifier.
This may include:
- Firebase UID
- Display name
- Profile photo
- Authentication provider
- Account creation timestamp
- Last login timestamp
- Marketing consent
- Marketing consent timestamp
We do not intentionally store complete Studio projects in Firestore as part of the current version of ThePaperLayer.

IndexedDB may be used to save editable projects locally on your device and help you recover your work.
Clearing browser data may remove locally stored projects.

Deleting an account does not automatically delete .tplayer files already downloaded to your device.
